The problem of the media and consumption-society is not a local problem in Belgium or Europe, but worldwide.
Where there flows cash, flows often enough also blood… This still the “civilized” the 21st century.
There are a lot of (proposals of) laws which come straight from the United States, from which companies exist in both parts in the world, the US and Europe. Since the industry has a lot more to say on political level towards the citizen, while gaining more power through the media with “reality shows”, commercials and television where they show you you “can still” get richer than you already are. Politici are following blindly like a puppy and start to become objects themselves and their party, like which was broadcasted on VTM in Luk Alloo, Where anke van Dermeersch promised to get nude in Playboy if she was elected, which is as mediacritic chosen as Arnold Schwarzenegger…
“Happiness sold in cans”
People are satisified too fast, when they feel safe with a good income. If any attack happens on that, even because of the buzz-word terrorism, one will get open and bare towards abuse of its government to protect oneself, the family and… the assets….
A lot of governments use this privelege very succesfully, to take away the privacy of the citizens and to push them to consume more and better …
